Foucault Studies

Foucault Studies is an electronic, open access, peer reviewed, international journal that publishes work about, and which uses, the ideas of the French thinker Michel Foucault. The journal intends to provide a forum for discussion of Foucault which goes beyond received orthodoxies, simplifications and uncritical appropriations.

The Cover is from a photograph taken by Elie Kagan on the 17th of January, 1972. Foucault is answering questions posed by journalists in front of the Ministry of Justice (Place Vendôme, Paris). It takes place during an intervention of the GIP (Groupe d'information sur les prisons).
